Fore-edge-painting. - Dunkelroter Saffianlederband um 1825 mit goldgepr. Deckelbordüre und Goldschnitt; mehrfarbige Malerei auf dem seitlichen Schnitt (Golfszene). Kl.-8vo.
Die schöne Schnittmalerei zeigt fünf Golfspieler mit farbigen Jacken und Hüten vor einer Stadtsilhouette (St. Andrew). - Enthält: [Scott, W.], The Poetry contained in the Novels, Tales and Romances, of the Author of Waverley. Mit gest. Titelvignette. Edinburgh, Constable 1822. XVI, 345, 6 S. - Kanten und Rücken berieben.
The nice fore edge painting in multi-colour shows five golf players in colour jackets and with hats in front of St. Andrew. Dark red morocco binding, around 1825, with giltstamped title border and gilt edges. - Contains: 'The Poetry contained in the Novels, Tales and Romances, of the Author of Waverley'. With engr. title vignette. - Edges and spine rubbed.
