Der schöne Titelholzschnitt zeigt das Freiburger Stadtwappen. - Tlw. fleckig und gebräunt, die letzten 7 Bll. mit Rostspur im Bundsteg; der Faltholzschnitt etw. eingerissen, Titelholzschnitt mit geringfüg. Randläsuren. Einbd. mit leichten Gebrauchsspuren. Insgesamt jedoch gutes Exemplar auf kräftigem Papier.
First edition of the excellent municipal law that is one of the most important law books of the 16th century and at the same time the main work by the humanist and jurist U. Zasius. With woodcut title, 1 fullpage woodcut (on verso of title, each rep.) and 1 folding woodcut plate by H. Holbein the Younger and several woodcut initials. 18th century half vellum. - Stained and browned in places, the last 7 ll. with traces of rust in the gutter; the folding woodcut somewhat torn, title woodcut with minor marginal blemishes. Binding with slight traces of use. However, all in all fine copy on stronger paper.
