Der gestochene Titel mit schöner Wappenbordüre.

EINBAND: Flexibler Lederband der Zeit mit gepr. Deckeltitel Atlas scholasticus. 53,5 : 33 cm. - ILLUSTRATION: Gest. Titel mit Bordüre und Tafelindex, 1 doppelblattgr. kolor. Kupfertafel und 19 doppelblattgr. Kupferkarten mit typischem Verlagskolorit. - ZUSTAND: Ca. 8 Karten etwas gebräunt, darunter Welt und die Kontinentkarten von Europa, Afrika und Nord- und Südamerika, die Europakarte mit Quetschfalten entlang der Mittelfalz, die Karte von Frankreich im unteren linken weißen Rand mit hinterl. Läsuren. Einbd. berieben, Vorderdeckel etw. fleckig. - PROVENIENZ: Vorblatt mit hs. Besitzvermerk "J. J. Scherer", Innendeckel mit gest. Exlibris der Familie von Stockar-Scherer-Castel.

Complete copy with engr. title witd heraldic border and index, 1 doublepage engr. plate and 19 doublepage engr. maps, all in publisher's surface coloring. Contemp. flexible calf with title "Atlas scholasticus" imprinted on front board. - Ca. 8 maps somewhat tanned (amongst others the double hemisphere world map and the continent maps of Europa, Africa and North- and South America), nmap of Europe with creases in the area of the centrefold, map of France with rebacked marginal defects in the lower left. Binding rubbed, front board stained. - With ms. ownership entry "J. J. Scherer" on fore leaf and bookplate "Walther & Goldi von Stockar-Scherer-Castel" (Zurich) on inner board.(R)
