"An elaborate and sumptuous work describing in detail, so far as known, the appearance and habits of all the species of pheasants .. Splendid monography on pheasants. 1 of 600 numb. copies. First edition. Modern turquois half morocco bindings with gilt-lettered spine, double gilt fillet borders and top edge gilt. 41 : 31,5 cm. With 90 color plates, 88 photogravures and 20 maps. Text slightly and evenly browned, somewhat thumbed in places, plates barely affected, few protective papers loosened or somewhat creased, 2 plates misbound. Spine slightly faded.
