Nachdruck bei Lefebvre, erschien erstmals mit sämtlichen Fasc. (182 Taf.) 1799-29. Durch die in großem Abstand erschienenen einzelnen Lieferungen sowie zahlr. Nachdrucke einzelner Tafeln und Lieferungen eine verwirrende Publikationsgeschichte: "The 'Plantarum succulentarum historia' is one of the nightmares of botanical bibliography" (Stafleu/C). "A work which is nearly always incomplete .. A most important work, and from the print point of view of technique and of pure color printing, Redouté's masterpiece " (Dunthorne). - Laut Tafel- und Lieferungsverzeichnis. Ohne die Tafeln Mesembryantheum Noctiflorum und Aloe Atrovireus , dafür zusätzlich mit der Dublette der Tafel Mesembryantheum Nodiflorum . - Durchgehend mit Feuchtigkeitsspuren (bes. Tafeln betreffend), tls. stärker gebräunt, Vortitel und 1 Textbl. mit gelöschtem Stempel. Einbde. an Gelenken und Kanten leicht ausgebessert.
EINBAND: Etw. spät. Ldr. mit KGoldschnitt. Gr.-4to. (34,5: 27 cm). - ILLUSTRATIONEN: Mit 170 ankolor. Kupfertafeln (st. 172) nach P. J. Redouté mit dem jew. erläuternden Texten.

Later calf with top edge gilt. - 2 plates ("Mesembryantheum Noctiflorum" and "Aloe Atrovireus") missing, instead plate "Mesembryantheum Nodiflorum" as doublet. Throughout stained by damp (mostly affecting plates), partly stronger browned, half title and 1 text leaf with erased stamp. Joints and edges restored.
