Neuen Testaments bezeichnet, die auf der Erstausgabe des Erasmus von Rotterdam (1516) beruht. Elzevier nennt sie im Vorwort der vorlieg. Ausgabe "textum ... ab omnibus receptum", eine Wendung, die seitdem als fester Begriff gebraucht wird (vgl. LGB VII, 390). - Erste w. Bl. gelöst und mit hs. Eintragungen. Gelenke stellenw. brüchig, Kapitale mit kl. Läsuren, Ecken gering bestoßen. Dekoratives Exemplar.
Second and best edition by Elzevier, well-known by the first use of the expression "textus receptus". Splendid contemp. brown morocco, richly gilt stamped. - First white leaf detached and with inscriptions. Joints partly brittle, spine ends chipped, edges slightly bumped. Else fine copy.
