"Ce travail immense, qui occupa Verniquet pendant vingt-huit ans, le plus souvent la nuit à cause des embarras des rues durant le jour, et pour lequel il a employé jusqu'a soixante ingénieurs et plus de quatre-vingts aides à cheval ..." (NBG) - "This project encompassed five-eights of the surface of the city inside its walls. It comprises a record of pre-Revolutionary Paris, both of the medieval city and of the additions and alterations of Louis XIV, XV, and XVI. It was the first plan to give a mathematically accurate view of the capital ... It was well received and became a major reference, being used to trace new alignments and to determine the changes and additions that were later executed in the capital." R. gering fleckig, einige Tafeln im Rand hinterlegt, 1 Tafel mit ergänztem Randabriß, Titel stockfleckig, vord. Innengelenk gebrochen.
