Einer von nur zwei Inkunabelausgaben zum ersten Buch der Sentenzen des Petrus Lombardus. "Bonaventuras Kommentar zu den Sentenzen des Lombarden ist eine theologische Leistung ersten Ranges, an Fülle und Tief der Gedanken sowie an Wärme der Darstellung von niemand übertroffen" (LThK II, 447).

EINBAND: Zeitgenössischer flexibler Pergamentband mit hs. Rückentitel. 4to. 21,5 : 16 cm. - ILLUSTRATION: Mit schwarzgrundiger Holzschnitt-Druckermarke am Ende. - KOLLATION: 204 nn. Bll. (das erste u. achte weiß). Got. Typen. 2 Spalten mit Kolumnentitel. 49-50 Zeilen. - ZUSTAND: Stellenw. an den Rändern leicht wasserrandig (nur erste 6 Bll. stärker betroffen), erstes w. Bl. mit Randläsuren und alten Besitzvermerken. Insgesamt guterhaltenes und breitrandiges Exemplar im ersten Einband. - PROVENIENZ: Zeitgenössischer Besitzeintrag von "Nic. Benedicti" (Nicolò oder Nicola Benedetti).

Scarce incunabulum print of Bonaventura's commentary to the first book of the "Sententiae". Second edition of only two editions in 15th century. With woodcut printer's device at end. Contemp. flexible vellum with ms. title on spine. 204 nn. leaves (complete, incl. 2 blanks). - Slight waterstaining to outer margins in places (only first 6 pp. more heavily affected), first blank with marginal tears and old ownership notes. Else well-preserved and broadmargined copy.(R)
