Ansichten, Schlacht- und Belagerungspläne und Kriegsschauplätze in den Niederlanden, Süddeutschland, Italien und auf dem Balkan. Die Karten von Norditalien, Deutschland, Ungarn und Flandern.

EINBAND: Marmorierte Lederbände der Zeit mit reicher Rückenvergoldung und Rückenschild. 45,5 : 29,5 cm.- ILLUSTRATION: Mit Frontispiz, 2 Titelvignetten, 3 Kopfvignetten, 3 Initialen, 31 Tafeln, 4 doppelblattgr. Karten (davon 1 gefaltet) und 49 doppelblattgr. Plänen, sämtlich gestochen.- KOLLATION: 4 Bll., 391 S.; 2 Bll., 360 S.- ZUSTAND: Zu Beginn und am Ende etw. stockfl. (meist im Randbereich). Einbd. berieben und bestoßen, Gelenke tls. eingerissen, Kap. mit kl. Läsuren, RSch. etw. angesplittert. Insges. schönes breitrandiges Exemplar. - PROVENIENZ: Aus der Sammlung Thomas Brand (1749-94) mit dessen gest. Wappen-Exlibris.

With engr. frontisp., 2 engr. title vignettes, 3 engr. head pieces, 4 engr. maps (3 double-page, 1 folding), 49 engr. plans and 31 engr. plates (2 double-page) by C. du Bosc after A. Benoist. Contemp. calf with rich gilt spine and label. - At the beginning and at end slightly foxed (mostly in the margins). Binding rubbed and bumped, joints partly torn, extremities of spine with small defects, label chipped. Altogether fine wide-margined copy from the collIection of Thomas Brand (1749-94) with his ex libris.
