Jacobus de Voragine, Legenda aurea. Mit eingemalten Lombarden in Rot und Blau , davon 3 zweifarbig. [Reutlingen, Michael Greyff] 1483. Blindgepr. spätgot. Kalblederband über Holzdeckeln mit 9 (von 10) Messingbuckeln und 2 Schließbeschlägen (Rücken, Hälfte des RDeckels und Unterkante des VDeckels erneuert). Folio. Got. Type. 2 Spalten. 326 nn. Bll., durchgeh. rubriziert in Rot und Gelb .

Jahrhundert hinein in Reutlingen tätig war. - Durchgeh. etw. wasserrandig (am Anfang und Ende auch deutlicher), 4 Seiten etw. tintenfleckig, davon Bl. A5 verso mit großer Tintenspur im Seitenrand (Text nicht betroffen), das erste Bl. zweiseitig verstärkt sowie mit gelöschtem Stempel und Blindstempel (Detlef Mauss) auf der leeren Vorderseite, dort ferner mit altem Besitzeintrag der Regularkanoniker in Olmütz; Kolumnentitel und Paginierung von einer frühen Hand, vereinz. alte Marginalien. Breitrandiges und vollständiges Exemplar.

Early edition of the renowned collection of saints' legends, at the same time the only edition from the printshop of the Reutlingen first printer Michael Greyff. With drawn in lombards in red and blue, of which 3 in two colors. Blind-tooled late gothic calf binding over wooden boards with 9 (of 10) brass buckles and 2 claps fittings (spine, half of rear board and lower edge of front board renewed). Folio. Gothic type. 2 columns. 326 unnumb. ll., rubricated in red and yellow all the way through. - Waterstaining (more obvious in beginning and at the end), 4 pp. with inkstains, of which l. A5 verso with large inkstain in side margin (not affecting text), first l. reinforced on two sides as well as with an erased stamp and blindstamp (Detlef Mauss) on blank front page, there also with old ownership entry of the Canons Regular in Olomouc; title of columns and pagination by an early hand, isolated old marginalia. Broad-margined and complete copy.
