Quarto edition, first printed 1842-49 in folio. - 6 vols. With lithogr. portrait, 6 lithogr. titles, 240 partly tinted lithogr. plates (of 241) and 2 engr. maps. Blue orig. cloth with rich gilt decoration and gilt edges. - First and last leaves slightly foxed, 1 vol. with small ink stains throughout, ca. 3 leaves and 3 plates waterstained, 3 plates and 1 leaf detached, 1 inner block slightly broken. Binding stained and faded. Altogether inside fine copy.
