Vitruvs berühmtes Architekturwerk in der Bearbeitung von Barbaro.

Dritte italienische Ausgabe, Neuauflage der lateinischen Ausgabe von 1567, von der auch die Holzstöcke benutzt wurden. "The majority of the woodcuts are reduced copies of the 1556 illustrations (Venice, Marcolini, in fol.). Franceschi names Chrieger (= Krüger) as cutter of the blocks. He used these blocks again in a 1584 edition, with the exception of the title block, and three illustrations that had to be recut. Leaves II1 and LL1 are double plates of the theaters of Curio, music in book 5, printed by the single-impression method" (Mortimer).

Third edition in Italian. "A reprint of the edition of Venice, 1567, with reworked plates. The woodcut border of the title page is the same as that used in the Venice quarto edition of Alberti" (Fowler). With woodcut title border, 120 woodcuts in text and 2 folding plates. 18th cent. vellum. - Partly foxed and browned, title mounted and with small tear at tail margin and 3 small mounted labels, 3 leaves with small marginal tear out, 1 folding plate with backed marginal tear.
